Metallica?
What I don't understand is how old fans of Metallica can even still respect them after they way the have totally sold out and disregarded their whole previous persona, and every fan just doesn't seem to give a shit.
I can respect a band from the early 80's coming out of nowhere and tearing shit up and being who they were, these hard fucking metal badasses that just wanted this certain persona and definitely earned it.
But I can't respect a band that sells themselves to the yankees, and in sells out to Guitar Hero, a 'T' rated video game.
What happened to Badass band from the late 80's?
Ooooooohhhhhhh I didn't realize they blew something up in their commercial!
Yeah that makes it all better.
I just don't get why they felt like they should have done that.
It really makes me wonder about just how much they care anymore, and once a band stops caring about who the hell they are, it just pisses me off and I feel like more people should be paying attention and at least conjuring up a feeling or two about the music that helped shape them into who they are today, and at least think about why they look up to them.
Should we still listen to them? Yes
Should we still like them anymore? Sure, if you want.
But just be a little pissed off about it.
